***Away Day Review: Barnsley v Rochdale @ Oakwell Stadium***

***Welcome to 4th installment of 6 Away Day Reviews 2nd half please look away if you don’t like bad results***

I got to Regal Moon for 8.40AM as it were a early Kick Off, I got a Traditional Breakfast with a Latte before we left at 9.30AM the Journey took approximately 1 Hour & 10 Minutes we reached Barnsley then went weatherspoon hunting we ended up at The Courthouse for 10.40AM which wasn’t far from the ground but it happened to be full off loads of Barnsley Fan’s and The staff stopped serving anybody remotely wearing Rochdale stuff, So we decided to go straight to the ground we found it without any problems on way to Ticket Office Steve Eyre walked past us.

When got in the ground the away end were like a massive barn shed, on their meal deals you saved a whole 20p. Chilled out for awhile before entering the Match for Kick Off i had my first ever experience of putting up a flag in the stand. The Match Kicked Off with 8 minutes of the match Ben Pearson had first shot of the game which missed. just 8 minutes later in 16th Minute Reuben Noble-Lazarus had a shot at goal blocked. 5 minutes later in 21st Minute Josh Scowen had a shot on goal saved just 30 seconds later James Bree missed a shot at goal. 2 minutes 30 seconds later George Smith had a shot saved in 24th Minute. a minute later Joe Rafferty got a Yellow Card for a foul on Ben Pearson in 25th Minute. a minute later in 26th Minute Sam Winnall missed a shot at goal. 2 minutes later in 28th Minute Reuben Noble-Lazarus missed a shot at goal. 9 minutes later saw Andy Cannon miss a shot at goal in 37th Minute. This were followed up by a shot 2 minutes later by Luke Berry which were saved in 39th Minute this then saw Josh Scowen got a Yellow Card for a foul on Joe Rafferty. 6 minutes later Ian Henderson had a attempt at goal saved in 45th Minute. on 45+2nd Minute whistle had went for Half Time.

There were a Half Time substitution which saw Andy Cannon substituted for Rhys Bennett. within 2 minutes of the second half Peter Vincenti had a shot at goal saved in 47th Minute. Just a minute later saw Joe Rafferty sent off for a foul on Josh Scowen in 48th Minute. Joe Ratterty ended up coming sitting with the Rochdale Fans near the front in the away end. In 50th Minute Rochdale substituted Joel Logan for Jamie Allen. 2 minutes later Rhys Bennett missed a shot at goal in 52nd Minute. a minute later saw Josh Scowen’s shot saved in 53rd Minute. Just a minute later Conor Hourihane also had a shot saved in 54th Minute. 4 minutes later saw Josh Scowen have yet another shot saved in 58th Minute. a minute later Reuben Noble-Lazarus had a shot blocked then saw Ian Henderson miss a shot at goal in 59th Minute. 6 minutes later saw George Maris substituted for Rhys Oates in 65th Minute. Barnsley had a corner which finally saw Josh Scowen assisted by Conor Hourihane score putting Barnsley 1-0 up in 66th Minute of the match. This saw Reuben Noble-Lazarus substituted for Callum Camps in 68th Minute. This also saw James Bree substituted for George Williams in 69th Minute. 3 minutes later Josh Scowen missed a second chance to score in 72nd Minute. 2 minutes later Barnsley had another corner which saw the same mistake repeat itself and also saw Josh Scowen assisted by Conor Hourihane score putting Barnsley 2-0 up in the 75th Minute of the match. a minute later saw Luke Berry substituted for Paul Digby. 7 minutes later Barnsley had yet another corner which history repeated itself for a 3rd time but this time Mason Holgate was assisted by Conor Hourihane in 83rd Minute. A minute later saw Rhys Bennett miss a shot at goal in 84th Minute. A minute after that Sam Winnall missed another shot at goal in 85th Minute. then i decided to go a put my flag away when i had my back turned Barnsley went 4-0 up thanks to apparent same error as last 3 goals it were announced that Conor Hourihane had scored in 89th Minute. then just before Full Time Sam Winnall headed a 5th goal in the back of the Rochdale net in 90+2nd Minute which were assisted by George Smith putting Barnsley 5-0 up. A minute later saw whistle go for Full Time which saw Barnsley Fans invaded the pitch coming over to the away section of the Oakwell.

We left at 2.56PM after collecting the Rochdale Fans who decided to stay at the Courthouse weatherspoons then set off back the Journey took around 1 hour and 13 minutes we arrived back at the Regal Moon for 4.09PM.

My Man of the Match: Scott Tanser (easily the best player on the pitch)

Performance: 4/10 Rochdale AFC (5 times the same error repeated)

***Away Day Review: Doncaster Rovers v Rochdale @ Keepmoat Stadium 11/04/2015***

***Welcome to the 3rd Installment of 6 Away Day Reviews please note: there are loads of pictures i were spoilt for choice***

Me & Rosun left at 11.38AM after getting some bargains in the Club Shop at the ofter what you want on the FILA stuff ask new kit sponsors wanted rid off the rival brand, the Journey were relaxing we arrived in Doncaster for 12.38PM then trekked over some hill to get to the Keepmoat Stadium. Then we went to get tickets before going in the Belle Vue Bar

In the Belle Vue Bar i got a Guinness the bar itself were very impressive they also served food.

I got in the ground for Kick Off, within 10 minutes of the match Ian Henderson missed a close range effort at Goal, 4 Minutes later in 14th Minute saw Reece Wabara get a Yellow Card, just 2 Minutes later the Linesman had flagged Doncaster Rovers goal offside this were disputed by a couple of the Doncaster Rovers squad they were eventually awarded the offside goal by Kyle Bennett assisted by Reece Wabara in 16th Minute of the match, then in 18th Minute Curtis Main missed a attempt at goal. Then 5 minutes later Michael Rose had an attempt at goal saved in 23rd Minute just seconds later Jamie Allen also had an attempt at goal saved. 3 minutes later this saw Joel Logan have an attempt at goal which were blocked in 26th Minute, then Curtis Main hit the bar in 28th Minute of the match. 3 minutes later saw Nathan Tyson’s attempt at goal saved in 31st Minute. 2 minutes later Nathan Tyson’s shot at goal were blocked 33rd Minute. 3 minutes later Jamie McCombe missed a shot at goal in 36th Minute. 9 minutes later just before Half Time Kyle Bennett missed a shot at goal. then whistle went for Half Time.

Second Half got underway within 8 minutes Joseph Rafferty were substituted for Callum Camps in 53rd Minute. Rochdale leveled the playing field making it 1-1 thanks to Michael Rose’s cross to Ian Henderson were saw him score the equalizer in 58th Minute. 2 minutes later Dean Furman were given a yellow card for a foul on Andy Cannon in 60th Minute. Then Rochdale made a second substitution Joel Logan were taken off for Calvin Andrew in 66th Minute Doncaster Rovers also substituted Curtis Main to bring on Jonson Clarke-Harris. Just a minute later Calvin Andrew had a attempt at goal saved in 67th Minute. Just a minute after that Ian Henderson hit the post in 68th Minute. 4 minutes later Rhys Bennett had an attempt at goal saved in 71st Minute. Couple of minute later Doncaster Rover’s substituted Dean Furman for Harry Forrester in 73rd Minute of the match. 7 minutes later saw Doncaster Rover’s make their final substitution taking off Nathan Tyson for Liam Mandeville in the 80th Minute. Just 3 minutes later Rhys Bennett had a shot at goal blocked in the 83rd Minute. Just couple of minutes later saw Jonson Clarke-Harris have his shot at goal saved in 85th Minute. Peter Vincenti missed a shot at goal just a minute later. 7 Minutes later in 90+2nd Minute of extra time Peter Vincenti missed an final shot at goal. Whistle went for Full Time.

On the journey back we ended up passing the supporters coach i arrived back at 6.12PM

***Away Day Review: Preston North End v Rochdale @ Deepdale Stadium 03/04/2015***

***Delayed due to technical difficulties hope everyone enjoys this next installment 2nd of 6 Away Day Reviews***

We set off at 12.27PM the journey were nice and smooth, we got to Preston for 1.26PM then i went to the ground before making my way to The Sumners Pub which were full of both Rochdale & Preston North End Fans. My Guinness were pulled wrong so they had to top it up as it had a massive head. The pint were around £3 odd i think then made my way to the ground before Kick Off

I got inside Deepdale at 2.47PM were i got a bottle of Lager for £3.60 as they had no Guinness then went into the ground for Kick Off

The Match kicked off within 9 Minutes of play Peter Vincenti had a shot at goal which went wide of the mark, just 5 Minutes later in 14th Minute Callum Robinson had a shot which were easily saved by Josh Lillis. Then just 5 Minutes later Callum Robinson came back and had a shot blocked in the 19th Minute. Match calmed down for a little while until 35th Minute of the Match when Scott Laird assisted Jermaine Beckford to score an unstoppable bottom left footed goal, Beckford’s celebration offended some of the crowd. in 37th Minute Joe Garner starting diving around everywhere like he were auditioning for Tom Daley’s “The Jump” the Referee started turning shocking in 40th Minute of the Match Callum Robinson had another attempt at goal which were saved then just seconds later Joe Garner had a shot which he missed miserably. 4 Minutes later Joe Garner dived again conning the Referee out of a Free Kick in 43rd Minute. 3 Minutes later whistle had went for half time.

At Half Time i got a Meat & Potato & a bottle of lager as it were part of the Meal Deal. Then i went back out to the Match. Olly Lancashire had been substituted for Scott Tanser at Half Time. 7 Minutes into 2nd Half saw Ian Henderson have a shot on goal which went over in 52nd Minute. then 5 Minute later show Joe Garner dive once again which he earned a free kick which he didn’t make much of because he missed the goal in 57th Minute. Joe Bunney had an attempt at goal which were saved in 60th Minute. 2 Minutes later Jermaine Beckford were substituted for Chris Humphrey in 62nd Minute. 1 Minute later saw Bastien Hery substituted for Reuben Noble-Lazarus in 63rd Minute. 3 Minutes later Joe Garner missed an attempt at goal in 66th Minute. Just he missed he dived once again conning the Referee out of a Free Kick in 69th Minute this saw Chris Humphrey’s shot at goal blocked. 1 Minute later Joe Bunney were substituted for Calvin Andrew in 70th Minute. 8 Minutes later saw Joe Garner’s attempt at goal saved in 78th Minute, Josh Lillis conceded a corner which saw Rochdale substituted Peter Vincenti for Febian Brandy. 2 Minutes later Preston North End substituted Callum Robinson for Andy Little in 80th Minute. 5 Minutes later just Garner were at it again diving and successfully conned another free kick out of the Referee in 85th Minute. 4 minutes later saw Scott Laird’s shot at goal saved in 89th Minute then 5 Minute later the whistle went for Full Time.

I made my way back to were we was parked. I got home for 5.55PM, I then went Spotland Social Club and Chilled out.

***Away Day Review: Peterborough United v Rochdale @ London Road 14/02/2015***

***Sorry about the massive delay here’s first installment of 6 Away Day Review’s***

The Supporters Coach arrived at Spotland Stadium at 10.15AM, It didn’t leave until 10.34AM. It arrived at London Road for 1.15PM

I ended up in the peacock pub, It were one of those proper football pub’s and the Guinness wasn’t too bad

I had just got into London Road when Peter Vencenti missed a shot on goal in 3rd Minute then just 1 minute later Peterborough’s Harry Beautyman followed up with a goal assisted by Michael Smith to give Peterborough a 1-0 lead. Just 3 minutes later in 6th Minute Harry Beautyman almost scored again which ended up conceding a corner which saw Christian Burgess giving Peterborough United a 2-0 lead. 4 minutes later saw Peterborough United have another attempt at goal by Luke James which missed in 10th Minute of the Match. Then 14 Minutes later in 24th Minute of the Match Rochdale were given some type of hope when Joseph Rafferty put the ball in the top right corner of the net making the score 2-1. 4 Minutes later this saw Peterborough United comeback like nothing happened when Erhun Oztumer had a attempt at goal which he missed in 27th Minute. then just 15 Minutes later Joe Bunney got himself a Yellow Card in 42nd Minute. 5 Minutes later whistle went for Half Time.

The second half had began within a couple of minutes saw Michael Smith have a shot on goal which he missed then just 13 Minutes later in 60th Minute saw Luke James miss an attempt at goal. Just 4 Minutes later Peterborough United substituted Aaron McLean for Jon Taylor, Rochdale also substituted Jamie Allen for Calvin Andrew in 64th Minute. Just 2 Minutes later Peter Vincenti had a shot on goal in 66th Minute. Then in the 68th Minute Erhun Oztumer were substituted for David Norris. Just 4 Minutes later this saw Harry Beautyman once again have a shot at goal in 72nd Minute Shaun Brisley fouled Calvin Andrew earning himself a Yellow Card in the process just a minute later saw Jack O’Connell have an attempt at goal which he missed 6 Minutes later Peterborough United’s Christian Burgess fouled Peter Vincenti earning himself a Yellow Card in 79th Minute just a minute later in 80th Minute Michael Rose had a shot at goal in flew into the stand’s. In the 89th Minute Peterborough United’s Michael Smith were given a Yellow Card. within a Minute Peterborough United’s Jon Taylor had 2 vengeful attempt’s at goal which missed both times in 90th Minute. Peterbroough United’s Kgosi Ntlhe were fouled by Joe Rafferty in 90+1st Minute this saw him get a Yellow Card. Olly Lancashire conceded a corner which amounted to nothing in 90+2nd Minute of Extra Time. 2 Minutes after the whistle had went for Full Time.

I got back to Spotland Stadium for 8.14PM.

My Man of the Match: Harry Beautyman (First Away Player to earn this honor)

Performance: 4/10 Rochdale AFC (Lot’s more could of been done to prevent danger in Josh Lillis’s area)

***Away Day Review: Oldham Athletic v Rochdale @ Ice Station Zebra***

***Please Note: Not as good as past reviews but is short and sweet***

The Bus left Rochdale Bus Station at 4.29PM the Journey didn’t really take long were at Ice Station Zebra for 4.57PM then i went to Clayton’s and had a couple of Guinness before Kick Off

When i entered i got a meat and potato pie which were a whooping 2.80 it were well overcooked didn’t really taste that nice the match had kicked off

there wasn’t match really happening in first 15 Minutes of the match till 16th Minute Peter Vincenti had a shot which were saved then in 17th Minute when Ian Henderson were booked for a hand ball in 18th Minute Danny Philliskirk hit a shot fit for Rugby League this were followed by Peter Vincenti being Substituted for Reuben Noble-Lazarus because of an injury sustained in 19th Minute of play this then saw Carl Winchester have a shot on goal which were well wide of the mark after a dirty foul by Danny Philliskirk saw Oldham Athletic take advantage which saw Rhys Turner score in the 30th Minute of the match putting them 1-0 ahead then less then 2 Minutes later Mat Sadler had a shot on goal which were saved in 37th Minute saw Jamie Allen substituted for Bastien Héry because of an injury sustained during the match not long after saw Stephen Dawson have attempt at goal in 42nd Minute Stephen Dawson were substituted for Olly Lancashire because of yet another injury sustained during the match the whistle had final gone for Half Time after 4 added minutes then i got a Guinness which cost a whooping 4.00 and it came out of a can

Second Half got underway within minutes Michael Rose missed a shot wide of the mark then just 7 Minutes later in 57th Minute Jonathan Forte had put Oldham Athletic 2-0 up just a minute after Connor Brown were shown a Yellow Card just 2 minutes later in 60th Minute the game were to to bed by Rhys Turner putting Oldham Athletic 3-0 up at the Ice Station minutes later Bastien Héry missed a shot on goal in 64th Minute Rhys Turner were substituted for Dominic Poleon then minutes later saw Reuben Noble-Lazarus have a attempt at goal which were saved in 66th Minute then minutes later in 68th Minute Reuben Noble-Lazarus missed another chance at goal just minutes later this saw Jonathan Forte’s attempt at goal saved in 70th Minute then minute later saw him have another shot this time fit for the Rugby League, then a minute afterwards in 72nd Minute Andy Cannon had a shot which went wide of the mark in 73rd Minute Connor Brown were substituted for Genséric Kusunga 5 Minutes later saw Ian Henderson sustain an injury in 78th Minute it were starting to get proper heartbreaking when Micheal Jones had attempt at goal in 82nd Minute which were saved in 84th Minute Andy Cannon had a shot on the goal which were saved in 85th Minute Luke Woodland were substituted for Timothee Dieng this then saw Dominic Poleon have a shot well wide of the mark in 88th Minute Match had went for Full Time.

I got the 9.44PM Bus back to Rochdale it were back for 10.20PM i went into the Regel Moon for a couple before heading home

I got a lift with Rosun just before 11.30AM from outside Sandy Lane, the trip were decent we arrived at Highbury Stadium for 12.40PM then i went to Ticket Office & Collected my tickets. We went into Jim’s Bar it were nice to be at the bar early. Guinness were £3.30 a pint stayed in till 2.40PM

There were a queue at the electronic turnstiles but had gone down in no time & Got in the Stadium for 2.54PM just before Kick Off

The Match Kicked Off within 4th Minute Ian Henderson had a shot at goal but it were saved, just 6 Minutes later in 10th Minute Andy Cannon had a attempt at goal but missed then 3 Minutes later in 13th Minute Andy Cannon were shown a yellow card, Fleetwood Town’s Nick Haughton hand balled the ball in 14th Minute but wasn’t even carded 5 Minutes later in 19th Minute Ian Handerson had another attempt at goal which were blocked. 3 Minutes later saw Peter Vincenti attempt a shot at goal which were blocked in 22nd Minute, just 2 Minutes later saw Fleetwood Town’s Nick Haughton have a attempt at goal which saw him miss massively in 24th Minute. Just a Minute later Peter Vincenti had another attempt at Goal but missed in 25th Minute. Just 11 Minutes later saw Ian Henderson have another attempt at the goal in 36th Minute, just 4 minutes later in 40th Minute Michael Rose had a attempt at Goal but it missed. 6 Minutes later in 45+1 Minute Jack O’Connell had a shot but it missed the goal. not long after the whistle went for Half Time

During Half Time i got a bottle of Carlsberg which were £3. I went out for second half Fleetwood had substituted Nick Haughton for Liam McAlinden, Fleetwood Town’s Josh Morris had a attempt at goal but missed. 6 minutes later saw Fleetwood Town’s Liam McAlinden have a shot at goal what also missed then 7 minutes later in 58th Minute saw Fleetwood Town’s Josh Morris score just 7 minutes later saw Peter Vincenti substituted for Scott Tanser in 65th minute. Then 5 minutes later in 70th minute Joe Bunney were substituted for Febian Brandy this then saw just 4 minutes later in 74th minute Andy Cannon substituted for Olly Lancashire 1 minute later saw Fleetwood Town’s Gareth Evans yellow carded in 75th minute, just 9 minutes later Fleetwood Town’s Josh Morris had a attempt at goal but he missed in 84th Minute just a minute later Fleetwood Town’s Gareth Evans had a attempt at goal which were more fit for the rugby going over which also saw him substituted for Tyler Hornby-Forbes in 85th minute just a minute later saw Fleetwood Town’s Stewart Murdoch miss the goal in 86th minute, then 3 minutes later in saw Fleetwood Town’s Jamie Proctor yellow carded in the 89th minute there were 5 minutes extra time given. Then 2 minutes later in 90+1 minute Jamie Proctor missed with a shot fit for the rugby go incredibly over 4 minutes later saw the whistle go for Full Time.

I arrived back at Spotland Social Club for 6.39PM

***Away Day Review: Bristol City v Rochdale @ Ashton Gate***

I got the Coach at 8.49AM the coach left Spotland Stadium at 9AM, we didn’t pull into the services while 11.35AM i went McDonalds and got 2 Hamburgers, McChicken Mayo, Fries and a Drink of Fanta which came to just under £5, The Coach left the service station at 12.06PM, we arrived at Bristol City for 1.33PM the coach were parked least a mile from Ashton Gate at Ashton Vale Car Park.

I ended up in the Tobacco Factory the only stout they had were Milk Stout which cost £3.20 it were like a stronger version of Snakebite then made my way to Ashton Gate. Before Kick Off i got a Pint of Guinness to get rid of the strong taste of Milk Stout out my mouth Guinness were £3.80 at the Stadium.

Then i took to my seat for the first half within 8 Minute of the Match Peter Vincenti had hit the crossbar 3 Minutes later Jack O’Connell won a Free which were saved in the 11th Minute by Frank Fielding which ended up setting up a corner conceded by Jamie Jones after Kieran Agard shot in 13th Minute which just 1 minute later saw Aaron Wilbraham score and put Bristol City 1-0 up thanks to an assist by Luke Freeman, Rochdale then went on to get a corner in 16th Minute which saw Joe Bunney miss a header just 5 Minutes later Joe Bunney got a yellow card in 21st Minute then 3 Minutes in 24th Minute saw both Jamie Allen and Peter Vincenti missed an cracking shots at goal just 7 minutes later in 31st minute Luke Freeman missed an attempt at goal for Bristol City, Rochdale carried on dominating right up till Half Time.

Half Time i got another Guinness, then went for Second Half of the match 8 minutes into second half Peter Vincenti missed an header what almost saw Rochdale equalize in 53rd Minute of the match 4 Minutes later Ian Henderson had an attempt at goal which were blocked in the box in 57th Minute this then saw Bristol City substitute Greg Cunningham for Joe Bryan in the 62nd Minute of the match. Peter Vincenti had yet another attempt at goal which were blocked in the centre of the goal in the 65th Minute there were a Substitution for Rochdale which saw Joe Rafferty substituted Nyal Bell in the 67th minute this then saw Joe Bunney have another attempt at goal missing a header in the box 3 minutes later Bristol City took off their most threatening player Luke Freeman and substituted him for Wade Elliott in 70th Minute this then saw Joe Bryan miss an convincing shot on Jamie Jones in 75th Minute in the 76th Minute Joe Bunney were substituted for Febian Brandy which then set Ian Henderson up to almost equalize in 77th Minute of the match. Joe Bryan then ended up having a shot blocked easily. then in 79th Minute Febian Brandy missed his catch of getting his first goal for Rochdale just 4 minutes later this saw Ashley Eastham attempt to level the score which an incredible shot at the goal which were blocked in 83rd Minute then in 87th Minute just so Bristol City could run down the clock they substituted Kieran Agard for James Tavernier just 2 Minutes later Rhys Bennett were penalized and given a yellow card for a dive by Joe Bryan in 89th Minute there were 4 minutes extra time in the 90+3 Minute this saw Ian Henderson miss final Attempt to equalise against Bristol City then referee blew for Full Time.

I got home for just before 9PM.
